PORTRAITURE.

My portraiture about a shared moment of intimacy and connection. My role is to build trust with my subject, and facilitate a space in which the essence of their being permeates. I favour making portraits outside of the studio, and instead in the real, tangible world’s of my subjects; exploring the delicate balance between environment and subject to tell a story. These captured moments need awareness, clarity and absolute presence. Then, and only then, am I able to express the gritty vulnerability of my subject. One that is as sincere as it is elusive to capture.
